David recently retired from the Canadian Association for Pharmacy Distribution Management as President and CEO. In this role he lead the organization's core mandate of ensuring a safe, secure and efficient pharmacy supply chain, which is an integral part of the Canadian healthcare system and ensures that all Canadians have access to vital medications.
Prior to CAPDM, David's career began as a research scientist before joining the pharmaceutical industry in a variety of progressively senior sales and marketing leadership positions. This was followed by the role of VP Community and Donor Programs with the Heart and Stroke Foundation, where he lead fundraising initiatives across Canada and managed 23 regional offices with a team of over 20,000 dedicated volunteers.
David served for 9 years on the Foundation Board of St Joseph's Health Centre in Toronto and was also on the Board of the Ontario Association of Community Care Access Centres. After returning to the Collingwood area, where his family roots go back many generations, David joined the CGMH Board of Trustees in 2017 where he currently chairs the People and Compensation Committee. David holds a BSc from the University of Guelph.
On the home front David and his wife Dana are active golfers, skiers and love escaping on their sailboat. The parents of two sons, Dana and David are enjoying watching them, as they carve their own paths
