  • Professional registration in good standing with theCollege of Physiotherapists of Ontario
  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in musculoskeletal care, preferably in an advanced practice capacity.
  • Experience in research and quality improvement
  • Membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
  • Required annual evaluation/Recertification with the College of Physiotherapists
  • Annual renewal of membership in the Canadian Physiotherapy Association
  • Certificationin CPR
  • Expert knowledge, complex decision-making skills and clinical competencies to form a foundation for advanced practice
  • Experience in quality improvement, program evaluation
  • Collaborative approach to teaching/learning
  • Demonstrated competencies in professional leadership, innovation, team building
  • Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with change

The successful candidate will be required to successfully y complete an onsite residency for training and competency evaluation


  • The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers expert-level clinical practice within an inter-professional model of care in collaboration with orthopaedic surgeons.
  • The APP facilitates timely access to quality musculoskeletal (MSK) care by applying and utilizing advanced clinical skills to perform autonomous, comprehensive assessment that incorporate results of the clinical history, physical examination, imaging and standardized outcome measurements. The initial focus is on Hip and Knee Arthritis
  • Orders appropriate imaging to support assessment, diagnosis and decision making
  • Provides education and recommendations to patients, families and their primary care providers to support the management of their MSK condition and optimizes function in keeping with best practice guidelines
  • The APP is a champion for best practice, and innovative care models and contributes to quality improvement initiatives to achieve safe, effective, efficient care.

WAGE: $40.08-$49.39 per hour
