Ultrasound Technologist (2016-27a)
DEPARTMENT: Diagnostic Imaging
SHIFT: Days, evenings, weekends and availability for call back. Must be flexible and available for all shifts.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Exhibits the core values of CGMH: Caring, Accountable, Respect, Excellence, Adaptable, Teamwork
- Graduate of an accredited Ultrasound Program. Recent graduates writing certification exams may be considered.
- Current registration or registry eligible with ARDMS and/or Sonography Canada required.
- Proven skill in the production of consistently high-quality ultrasound images
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a team environment and independently
- Strong organizational skills and multi-tasking abilities
- Demonstrated ability to stay current within the profession.
- Experience in abdominal, OBS-GYN and vascular imaging
- Experience in Ultrasound Special Procedures i.e. biopsies, an asset
- Certified in Fetal Medicine Screening an asset
DUTIES: (Including, and with additional duties as required)
Performing ultrasound procedures at a superior technical level, producing consistently high quality images; Carrying out procedures in the best interest of optimum client/patient care; observing all aspects of personnel/patient safety.
